Year Five have been continuing their Tudor projects with some very skilful miniature portraits in the style of Henry VIII’s favourite portrait painter – Hans Holbein. The girls rose to the (very fiddly) challenge of using acrylics to paint a tiny portrait of their chosen king or queen from the Tudor era. Using only six colours, the girls mixed meticulously to create the right flesh tones and background colours, and carefully crafted some beautiful miniature monarchs.
