The impressive 1st XII lacrosse team at Monmouth School for Girls achieved notable wins as they finished runners-up in Division 1 at the National Schools Lacrosse Championships in Aldershot.
Despite very challenging weather conditions, the girls booked their place in Division 1 after the first day, following fantastic wins over St George’s Harpenden, St Georges’s Ascot and Haileybury.
The girls continued to shine and secured their place in the Division 1 final after successful matches in the knockout phase against St Mary’s Calne and Marlborough.
Despite playing very well in the final and giving it their all, the Monmouth girls slipped to defeat against a well-drilled Wycombe Abbey side.
Huge congratulations to the Monmouth squad of Bella, Luella, Laura, Zoe, Martha, Maisie, Evie, Grace, Renn, Yasmin, Annie, Freya, Millie, Alexandra and Tallulah, who all represented the school superbly and were tremendous ambassadors during the weekend; the coaches and support staff.
