The senior lacrosse players at Monmouth School for Girls gave an excellent account of themselves at the National Schools Championships in Aldershot.
The 1st team played some impressive lacrosse and reached the knockout stage of the prestigious competition.
The girls qualified into Division One after excellent wins against Marlborough College, Birkenhead and St Bartholomew’s School in the group stages.
On the second day, the Monmouth girls overcame Sherborne School before losing to both Caterham and St Mary’s Calne.
The girls then met Marlborough College in the knockout stage and, despite a very committed and all-action display, were pipped 4-3 in an exciting contest.
