Hong Kong facemasks heading to Monmouth

May 6, 2020
A shipment of facemasks from Hong Kong will soon be heading to Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools.
Current Monmouth pupils Sam and Dickson have organised the delivery.
Their father, Hui Chen, owns the Kai Bo Food Supermarket chain in Hong Kong.
He has been able to source this stock without disrupting any supplies to the NHS.
Sam and Dickson are boarders in Weirhead House at Monmouth School for Boys.
“The masks are a very generous donation and will help our schools with plans to re-open when the Welsh Government eases lockdown restrictions and gives the go-ahead,” said Mrs Clare Anning, Development Director at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools.
Felyx Tong, pictured, is a representative of Lam Hui Chen and a great supporter of Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools.
He often volunteers to help with translations during the schools’ visits and trips to Hong Kong.
