Headmistress to take on Headship in India

October 18, 2017

Dr Caroline Pascoe has been appointed Principal at one of India’s most prestigious schools, The International School Bangalore.  Dr Pascoe was chosen after an extensive selection process which saw candidates shortlisted from an international field.  To ensure a smooth transition from Monmouth School for Girls, where Dr Pascoe has been at the helm since April 2014, she will take up her new post in August 2018.

Mr Audley Twiston-Davies, Chairman of Governors said,

“We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Dr Pascoe on her impressive new appointment and to thank her for her strong leadership over the past four years which has seen numbers on roll rise, the school achieving ‘excellent’ across the board in the 2016 Estyn Inspection, the girls’ best ever A* performance at GCSE this year, and over 65% of our leavers consistently gaining places at Russell Group universities.  ”

Dr Pascoe said,

“I will miss the wonderful girls and staff with whom it has been my great privilege to work.  I have spent ten years living and working in India and when approached for this position, knew it was an unmissable opportunity to lead a school with over 1,000 students in such a vibrant city in a country where I have such a close affinity.  I shall continue to work as normal during my final year in post, concentrating on the exciting introduction of co-ed teaching in the Sixth Form which I believe will hugely benefit the girls as they prepare for university entry and life beyond school.”
