Promising sportswoman, Rosie.

A sporty student, who has gained national recognition at cricket, is now making a big impression on the hockey pitch.

Rosie, a pupil at Monmouth School for Girls, has been moved into Hockey Wales’ 360? Aspire programme which helps support and develop talented players.

The 13-year-old was originally selected for Cardiff and the Vale region.

As part of the 360? Aspire programme, Rosie could be nominated for the National Age Group (NAGs) squad.

A Year 9 pupil at Monmouth, Rosie has played for Cricket Wales’ girls’ section for the past two seasons.

A leg-spin bowler, who played for the Wales Under-13 team over the summer, is now in the middle of a 14-week trial process which involves fitness training and net sessions twice a week.
