Zut Alors! Girls draw the wrong conclusion

November 18, 2015

Zut AlorsOn Friday the Year 3s, 4s and 6s, went to see a French Sketch at the Blake Theatre, joining up with the boys from the Grange and even from Year 7s. Sadly the Year 5s didn’t get to go as they were off to Gloucester for a Nature in Art trip. Watch this space for more news on that next week.

The sketch, despite what many of us thought, turned out to be a play and not a drawing. The show had two actors and told a comical story in English and in French. In our French lessons each week we get a lot of practice using the language in conversation and we were all looking forward to challenging ourselves to seeing how many French words and sentences we could recognise.

“It was very, very funny!” Megan in Year 4 told the Inglefield Bulletin. “I recognised the words ‘bonjour’ and ‘je m’appelle’,” Jessica added. “I haven’t seen it before, but I am really looking forward to it,” Mrs Phillips told Inglefield reporters before the show. À bientot!
