Year 5 Tudor trip to London

March 12, 2014

A Trip Back in Time

The Year 5 three-day Tudor trip to London brought the girls face to face with one of our most glorious eras of history, with trips to see palaces, towers, jewels, ships and theatres.

Highlights included visits to Hampton Court Palace, where they learned about the significance of Tudor portraits, the Tower of London, the Golden Hinde, a replica of Sir Francis Drake’s famous ship and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.

The hands-on approach to learning brought much of the history curriculum to life as the girls threw themselves into all the workshops.
