Congratulations are in order for Maya Learmond, Year 5, who has won the national IAPS Attain Innovation Challenge. Maya designed a SMART Card: Missing, Alert, React – to help reunite lost children with their parents if separated in busy areas or whilst on holiday.

Her entry involved an app and two product designs. The judges, including an Electronics Director of Samsung, received a wealth of entries from competitors aged 8-16 from IAPS schools across the UK and awarded Maya first prize – a visit with five friends to the European HQ of Samsung, the world’s biggest consumer electronics company. They will be able to play with the newest technology and gain an insight into the Korean culture that has shaped the company. Well done Maya!
