Storybook heroes brought to life in Monmouth

Where’s Wally, The Hodgeheg and Paddington Bear were among the storybook heroes who turned up to Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools to celebrate their love of reading.

Pupils at Monmouth School Girls’ Prep read their favourite books and rotated around the teachers for an hour, hearing various stories and immersing themselves in children’s literature.

And pupils and staff at Monmouth Schools Pre-Prep and Nursery arrived at lessons dressed as their favourite characters from children’s literature to celebrate World Book Day.

Children and at Monmouth School Boys’ Prep had a visit from author Cathy Farr, who has a passion for Irish wolfhounds, and has written fantasy adventures Moon Chase and Moon Crossing.
