Congratulations to all for a fantastic team performance at the Schools Chess Day in Cardiff at the Cardiff City Football Stadium on Tuesday 25th November 2014.
This prestigious chess tournament attracted teams of ten players from some 46 schools across Wales & the west of England. Taking part in the event for the second time Inglefield House had in all likelihood the youngest team in the competition yet managed to scored 45 game points from a maximum total of 100 points, to claim 16th place. The team was captained by Asha, Yr5 and Mr.Evans was the inspirational team manager.
Chess teacher Kevin Thomas said today “This was such a very young team that the performance vastly exceeded my expectations. Very well done to our top boards Saffron Yr6 and Elena Yr5, & to Maddie Yr5 for a high score”

Congratulations to all who represented Inglefield in the South West region Qualifier will take place at the Grange in Monmouth on the 23rd November. A great result for a very young team – we came 8th!
