Pupils and staff support NHS against coronavirus

April 7, 2020

Pupils and staff at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools are supporting the region’s NHS staff in the fight against coronavirus.

The 3D printers across the family of schools have been busy this week making the straps for the protective facemasks worn by A&E consultants and other NHS practitioners.

Under supervision of Dr Sion Wall, Mr Sean McCluskey and Mr Andy White, the children of NHS key workers have even used the printers to produce some of the straps during their own study periods at the schools.

The schools have also donated a full box of facemasks and around 300 protective goggles, from their science labs, to hospitals across the area to help in the battle against COVID-19.
