Summer 2018 Week 5: 25/5/2018

Lent Term – Week 5

Not only are the weeks busy here; the weekends are packed with action too. Read below for sporting success in trampolining, Aquathlon and cricket. Add in a full day rehearsal for our summer show and it all adds up to an action packed time. I would very much like to thank you all, parents and pupils, for the excellent turn out for the rehearsal. We made huge progress and those pupils who let us know they couldn’t attend will be slotted in to the finale. MGP staff gave up a day of their weekend and many parents worked like Trojans on the costumes. My especial thanks to Mrs Chinn for her amazing coordination of costumes and thanks to all of you who made the day easier all round. The Haberdashers’ Deputation provided another opportunity for us to show off our school and show it off we did; our visitors were very complimentary. We have had a steady stream of prospective pupils this week and will do so again after half term. I am always pleased to be able to reassure nervous newcomers that they will feel right at home within about 10 minutes of entering the school. In fact, it takes about 2 minutes as MGP girls go out of their way to settle our visitors in.

I would like to wish you all a lovely half term. It may take the whole week for my ears to recover after this morning’s swimming gala. Congratulations to Mather Jackson but well done to all our girls who swam and gained valuable points for their House.
