Michaelmas 2017 Week 5: 6/10/2017
Michaelmas Term – Week 5
The pupils have had an action packed week and have swashbuckled their way through a day of heroic and villainous activity with our visiting author, Claire Fayers. There were some marvellously creative pirate hats on heads and an impressive array of eye patches. The Nrich roadshow balanced the week with workshops based on number-it’s always great to hear the girls enthusing about what they are doing in maths.
I hope you have noticed something of an improvement in the car parking at the end of the day. It is very difficult with the build going on but we have done our best to make as much space available as possible at the end of the day. Without wishing to hurry you too much, if you could keep conversations short at peak times, that would help keep things moving. A member of staff is on duty by the sports hall until 4.15, so if you wish to leave pick up until 5/10 minutes later, that could also help.
We are looking forward to trips out next week for most year groups and the week after for Year 5. We are off to several new venues and I think the staff are just as excited as the children!
Finally, my thanks to all those families who gave up their time to support their school on our Open Mornings; it is invaluable to us to have pupils in school and your generosity with your time is very much appreciated.
