Maths WeekNovember 15th, 2019
A big thank you to all of the children for throwing themselves into Maths Week with such enthusiasm. Year 4 have created some fantastic tessellating patterns, both on the computer and using shape tiles. Year 3 have had a super time with tangrams; using problem solving skills and logical thinking to solve these fascinating little puzzles. The girls have used lots of new mathematical language such as quadrilateral, isosceles, congruence, symmetrical, parallelogram and perpendicular. Ask them about ‘A Sage’s Journey’, the fascinating legend explaining the origin of the Tangram puzzle.
