Congratulations to Mrs Jennie Phillips who is taking up the post of Head of King’s Hawford Prep School

November 19, 2020

Headteacher, Mrs Jennie Phillips, is to leave Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools after six years.

Mrs Phillips will be taking up the post of Head of King’s Hawford Prep School in Worcester following an extensive selection process.

Mrs Phillips joined Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools as Head of Monmouth Schools Pre-Prep and Nursery at Agincourt in September 2014 and is currently Head of Monmouth School Girls’ Prep.

Principal of Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools, Mr James Murphy-O’Connor, said: “Mrs Phillips has been offered and has accepted the post of Head of King’s Hawford Prep School in Worcester.

“She was chosen after an extensive selection process, which saw candidates shortlisted from an impressive field.

“We would like to thank Jennie for everything she has accomplished since she joined us in 2014; first as Head of our Pre-Prep at Agincourt, and most recently as Head of the Girls’ Prep.

“She has enormous energy and a tremendous sense of fun, which has helped shape the creative curriculum she delivered with such enthusiasm over the past six years.

“Since Jennie’s appointment, there has been much closer collaboration across the Pre-Prep and Prep Schools.”

Mr Murphy-O’Connor continued: “In order to allow the smoothest possible transition, Mrs Phillips will step down as Headmistress of Monmouth School Girls’ Prep at the end of this term in preparation for taking up her new role in April 2021.

“From the start of the Lent term Mrs Jessica Miles will take over the day-to-day management in the Girls’ Prep, assisted by Mr Tom Evans.

“I am sure you will join with the governing body and all our staff in wishing Jennie and her family every happiness and success in her new venture.”
