Year Five constructed some awesome Aztec battle shields to defend their country after learning about the invasion of the fearsome Spanish conquistador Cortes. They used traditional Aztec patterns, symbols and colours in a bid to strike terror into the hearts of their enemies, and to bring luck from the Gods.

Huitzilopochtli, the Aztec God of War, would have been proud of their fearsome creations and would surely have favoured them on the battlefield!!
