A Special Coin Trail

December 17, 2013

Charity has been at the forefront of our minds this half term in the wake of the Haiyan disaster.

We have been keen to raise funds to help support a small region in the Philippines, brought to our notice by Miss Scott of the senior school who has close personal links there.

We laid a trail of coins all around the school to show that we will go a long way to help.  Over the week, as we brought in more and more coins, the trail was expanded to double rows because the corridors were not long enough! The housekeeping staff were very accommodating too, even adding their change to fill in gaps they found whilst hoovering.

Eventually, over 200m of coins were laid and the school raised over £400 in total. Thank you to everyone who supported us.
