A naturally artistic adventure

Artistic AdventureLast week Year 5 embarked on an art adventure to Nature In Art in Gloucester. We went on the trip to help us with our art topic, which is land art and the artist Andrew Goldsworthy.

After our safety talk we went off to enjoy making pieces of art from natural materials including paper tissue bowls and lino printing (we had to be very careful not to cut little fingers with the special tools!). After our picnic lunch we explored the art gallery – the pictures of natural art were inspiring and some of the pieces on display were even created by children our age!

Ruth commented: “I loved going out to find leaves for my paper tissue bowl.” Savannah enjoyed the lino printing but did not enjoy cutting her finger and Alys thought the gallery was awesome. I thought the trip helped bring our art studies at school to life and I would definitely recommend this to next year’s Year 5s.
