Olivia is a harpist

Two Year 8 pupils at Monmouth School for Girls have been shortlisted in a regional Eisteddfod competition involving musicians from all over South Wales.

Olivia, a harpist, and Emily, a vocalist, are finalists in an Online Eisteddfod organised by Glamorgan Music School.

Olivia submitted a video of her playing John Parry – Sonata 1 beautifully and Emily sang a lovely version of I Could Have Danced All Night from the musical, My Fair Lady.

The Haberdashers’ Monmouth duo will be among the finalists showcased on Glamorgan Music School’s social media and YouTube channels over the weekend of 27th and 28th March.

Winners in each category will be announced before an overall Eisteddfod winner is revealed on 28th March.
