Talented musicians from Years 7 – 13 performed at a special Tea Concert in the new Performing Arts Centre (PAC) at Monmouth School for Girls recently.

Pupils gave wonderful renditions of pieces including ‘Romance from the Gadfly’, ‘Sonata, movement 1’ and ‘Prelude 1, from Three Preludes’ during the Tea Concert, which was the first one organised for 2019.

Instruments played included the violin (Eleanor and Ellen), the flute (Isabel and Hazel), clarinet (Lily) and piano (Mererid). Singers Anwen, Angelika, Carys and Lara performed pieces such as ‘Seligkeit’, ‘Unexpected Song’, ‘My Heart’ and ‘Truly Scrumptious’.

Music teacher Mrs Friend commented: “The first Tea Concert of 2019 went well and was, as always, a lovely end to the week.”
