It has been a busy and successful summer for four talented cricketers at Monmouth School for Girls.

First-team captain, Lucia, represented Gloucestershire Under-17s in a number of matches, top scoring with 61 not out against Worcestershire Under-17s.

Sophia has been a regular member of Wales Under-15s, under-17s and first team. She top-scored with 89 for Wales Under-15s and hit 69 for the under-17s.

She has also bowled consistently well, including an impressive spell of two wickets for just four runs from five overs for the 1st XI.

Lotte made her debut for Wales Under-13s against Devon and, on the same day, had her spin bowling analysed on Sky Sports by Australian leg-spinning legend, Shane Warne.

Another promising cricketer, Carys, was selected for the Wales Under-12s Development squad and snapped up three wickets on her debut against Herefordshire.
