An active maintenance worker at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools is running 56 miles this month to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Simon Jones and by his canine companion, Henry, are supporting family, friends and work colleagues who have been affected by cancer.

“My righthand man, Henry, and I were keen to take on this challenge to support a good cause.”

Simon added: “I do challenges like this for my own health and wellbeing, too, because they keep me focused and motivated.

“I have covered 88 miles this year and I am aiming for 1,000 miles in total through walking or running.”
