Rowers from Monmouth School for Girls shone at the Bristol Avon Regatta.

The Junior 18 VIII won the Women’s Open Eight, beating a crew from the University of Bath in the semi-final and then overcoming Pangbourne College in a closely-fought final on on Saturday 12th May.

Coxed by Alex, the triumphant Monmouth crew were Zara, Nia, Olivia, Catrin, Sonia, Pippa, Lucy and Fay.

The school’s rowers will be racing later this month at National Schools’ Regatta, and Monmouth Regatta over the bank holiday weekend.
