Rosewater recipes for budding cooks…

Monmouth School for Girls staff member Desdemona Freeman has published a book of delicious Rosewater Recipes, for budding chefs wanting to add an extra special ingredient.

Desdemona, who creates Artisan Welsh Rosewater from roses grown at her home in the Monmouthshire countryside, decided to publish the book after frequent requests from customers asking for good recipes using rosewater.

Alongside business partner Denise Jones, Desdemona’s Welsh Rosewater has featured on television in shows such as Nadiya’s British Food Adventure and Coast and Country, as well as being featured in national magazines and newspapers. The new cookbook features recipes for drinks, snacks, sweet treats and ideas for every meal of the day.

Speaking about the book launch, Desdemona said: “I am so excited and delighted about the book and I hope that it will inspire anyone with an interest in cooking to experiment with rosewater. It’s such a delicious ingredient.”
