Talented riders from Monmouth School for Girls and Monmouth School for Boys have qualified for a national Show Jumping event and earned a raft of rosettes and medals during the process.

The Monmouth Schools Equestrian Team attended the Show Jumping County Qualifiers at Kings Equestrian Centre – a hotly contested event featuring riders from local schools, who were hoping to qualify for the National Finals in April.

Team spokesperson Ms Geisz commented on how well the pupils had performed in the event, with the wonderful successes listed below. She added: “The riders were very successful and came back with many medals and rosettes.”

The Show Jumping event results are as follows:

70 cms class – teams

5^th place and qualified for the Finals: Evie, Angus and Annie

80 cms class – teams

2^nd place and qualified for the Finals: Grace, Megan, Bronwen and Jessica

3^rd place: Bibi, Annie, Lloyd and Holly

80 cms – individuals

2^nd place and qualified for the Finals: Lloyd

90 cms class – teams

1^st place and qualified for the Finals: Holly, Bibi, Jessica and Charlotte

6^th place: Bibi, Carmen, Lloyd and Bronwen

90 cms – individuals

1^st place and qualified for the Finals: Lloyd

1m teams

3^rd place and qualified for the Finals: Holly, Madeleine, Ellie, and Charlotte.
