‘Mocktails’, magic and music were some of the highlights for students attending the recent joint schools’ Dinner & Dance.

Pupils from Year 11 at Monmouth School for Girls and Monmouth School for Boys enjoyed a fantastic evening, including a meal in the dining hall followed by dancing in the main hall.

Reporting on the event, Year 11 student Bea wrote: “The evening was thoroughly enjoyable and everyone looked great in their suits and dresses.

“Following their arrival, pupils were offered ‘mocktails’ before sitting down in the beautifully decorated hall.

“During the delicious meal prepared by the dining room staff, Stewart the magician was a highlight of the evening as he entertained tables whilst everyone was eating.

“Mr and Mrs Skailes were the couple of the hour as Mr Skailes played jazz on the piano during the meal and Mrs Skailes took photographs.

“Lastly, boys and girls made their way to the main hall where there was a very lively disco provided by the DJ and his team. Thanks go to everyone involved in making the evening as successful as it was.”
