An outstanding sportswoman, who performed at the pinnacle of junior lacrosse, has been shortlisted for a regional award.

Elinor, a Sixth Form student at Monmouth School for Girls, has been nominated for a Sunshine Pride Award.

The ceremony is taking place at Hereford Racecourse on Friday 8th November.

Elinor, the school lacrosse captain, impressed for Wales at the 2019 World Lacrosse Under-19s Women’s Championships in Ontario, Canada, during the summer.

Elinor is in the running for the Sporting Achievement of the Year honour in the awards evening organised by Sunshine Radio.

Earlier this year, Elinor was named Sportswoman of the Year at Monmouth School for Girls’ annual Sports Dinner.

The teenager picked up the coveted Leonard Salver from England netball Commonwealth Games gold medallist, Jodie Gibson.
