International Netball Success

November 7, 2014

Welsh-Netballw Year 11 pupil Evie has been selected for the Welsh U17 Netball squad.  Following an invitation to the trials, 15 year old Evie endured a rigorous day of fitness tests, skills and match play, before waiting an agonising week before being told of her success.  This follows on from her selection for the U15 squad last year and is a testament to her dedication to both school and club netball as well as additional early morning fitness work.

In addition to being selected for the Welsh team, Evie, along with Annabel and Sereima were successful in gaining a place in the South East Wales U16 squad for this season.  They will be joined by Poppy, Holly, Alison and Megan, who have made it into the U18 South East Wales team, with Poppy, Holly, Megan and Evie all continuing in the South East Wales Hub Performance Programme and Annabel in the South East Wales Development Hub.

In the Wye Valley Netball League, Habs 2 currently sit at the top of the table, with three wins out of three matches against Usk 1, Chepstow 1 and Abergavenny.  Habs 1 closely follow in third place, having had two wins against Allsorts (55-18) and Abergavenny (60-15).
