HMSG shortlisted for TES award

September 22, 2016

We are delighted to announce that HMSG has been shortlisted for a Times Educational Supplement award thanks to national coverage of a magical Christmas story.

Our entry now has the chance to win in the Marketing/Communications Campaign of the Year category at the Independent Schools Awards 2016.

This category “recognises a powerful strategy to promote some aspect of the school to a wider community”, which the story about boarders finding a 92-year-old letter to Santa in their chimney did very effectively.

The story ran on ITV Wales, Channel 5 News, S4C, the BBC website, Daily Mail Online, The Telegraph website, Australian and Spanish news websites and Monmouth’s Sunshine Radio, and in the Mirror, Metro, Daily Express, and The Times – twice. It was also published in Boarding School and Independent Schools Magazine, local papers and Monnow Voice magazine.

The television features in particular brought home what a lovely school HMSG is, with heart-warming interviews with the Deputy Head, Tom Arrand, the pupils and several other staff members.

Winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on November 25.
