Harris Society Annual Dinner Friday 6th February 2015:
We started the evening off with an enjoyable mingle with welcome drinks, after which we sat down to a delightful meal with our friends from HMSG and MS. After the meal we welcomed our guest speaker Dr Leo Garcia who had come to visit us from the Velindre Hospital in Cardiff to talk about medical physics and his career. He gave an insightful presentation about the daily use of physics to save lives, which inspired many of the young aspiring doctors and physicians among us. It was a great event which opened up new career options for people who had maybe not considered them before. The evening was an overall success and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who attended.
