The Science Live Show was brilliant! Over 50 Year 10 girls arrived at Bristol’s Colston Hall to listen to a series of lectures by some very eminent scientists in their field: Professor Lord Robert Winston, Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock, Dr Kate Lancaster, Professor Andrea Sella and finally Professor Bruce Hood. Every topic was very interesting and we learnt about a range of the latest scientific ideas and projects, from nuclear fusion to exo-planets and from embryonic development to how our brain works; overall it was decided that our favourite presentation was the psychology topic. Year 10 also found the examination tips given by one of the chief examiners very useful. A very enjoyable and informative day was had by all.
