The funeral service of a popular Monmouth teacher will take place next month.

Miss Fran Jones worked at Monmouth School for Girls between 1981 and 1999 as Head of History and Head of Sixth Form.

Her funeral service is being held at St Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Cyncoed Road, Cardiff, on Thursday 6th February at 12.30pm.

The funeral service will be followed by a cremation at Thornhill Crematorium at 1.30pm.

Miss Jones, a charismatic and popular teacher during her 18 years at Monmouth, died on 30th December, aged 74.
