Each bedroom is furnished with the ultimate in modern boarding facilities, providing single accommodation for the girls, giving them their own personalised living space as well as comfortable, stylish common rooms for socialising and entertaining guests. Most of the rooms are en-suite.

Augusta House has a team of dedicated staff who are available around the clock to provide the finest level of care to their pupils. Augusta staff provide a warm and supportive safety blanket for the girls in their care.

Like all three boarding houses at Monmouth School for Girls, Augusta is home to girls from all over the world. Some of our boarders have parents working overseas or in the Armed Forces. For others, home is in a city, and parents want their daughters to enjoy the benefits of growing up in the countryside. Some have chosen Augusta House as a preparation for university, or in recognition of the advantages it offers to their daughter’s personal development. Whatever the reasons, we aim to ensure that Augusta House is a home away from home, a friendly and happy place for girls to live and enjoy their school days.

Boarder Mererid shared her views on life in Augusta:

Living in Augusta House has given me freedom to live more independently. I am extremely aware of how fortunate I am to have my own en-suite bedroom, as I can study whenever I need to, which is crucial for me, since I have increasingly more work to do now that my A2 exams are looming ever closer!  I also find it great that the gym, sports hall, and the new performing arts centre are all next door to the boarding house, because this means I can practise my lacrosse stick-work or my violin whenever I want to. I love living here because you get to meet so many amazing people from all over the world.
