HMSGTV visits ITV
In this film Carys and Bethany report on our trip to ITV’s Central News studios in Birmingham, where we found out how a professional TV news bulletin gets produced. Monmouth School old boy and ITV journalist Joe Davies tells Genny how he got into a career in TV News. We met the news presenters Bob Warman and Sameena Ali Kahn who had advice on how to get into the TV news industry. We watched from the gallery as the show was recorded, met the all female production team, toured the newsroom and tried out the news readers’ desk for size in the studio. The trip has inspired us to aim for media careers.
