Four promising netballers from Monmouth School for Girls have been selected for the South East Wales regional squads.

Izzy, 17, and 16-year-old Myfanwy have been chosen for the under-18s squad.

Both girls play netball for the school in the Wye Valley League and are members of Newport Netball Club.

Anna, 14, who also represents the region at hockey, and 13-year-old Eleanor also impressed during trials and have been picked for the under-14 section.

The Monmouth girls will represent the region in fixtures against Cardiff and Vale, West Glamorgan, and South Wales Valleys during this season’s hotly-contested inter-counties competition.
