Enterprising students launch Sterling to create handmade rings

December 1, 2021

Budding entrepreneurs at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools are building the life skills and knowledge they will need to succeed in the changing world of work.
As part of the Young Enterprise initiative, the Sixth Form students have formed a company, called Sterling, primarily to create handmade rings by upcycling silver-plated spoons.
The company of girls and boys in Monmouth Schools Sixth Form is working hard on its project and company structures.
Sterling will be attending The Friends of Monmouth School for Boys’ annual Christmas Market on Saturday 4th December in The Blake Theatre from 11am to 2.30pm.
The company has discovered that sourcing silver-plated spoons is much harder than expected.
Members would now like to appeal to the Monmouth community and parents for donations of any unwanted silver-plated spoons.
