Monmouth Schools’ Sports Club can cater for companies and groups requiring First Aid training.  Our fully qualified instructors deliver courses through the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS).  The qualification is Ofqual accredited and valid for three years, making it suitable for all industries and enabling you to meet HSE requirements.

What does the law say?

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate first aid training, equipment and facilities so that employees can be given immediate help if they are injured or taken ill at work.

What is a First Aider?

A First Aider is someone who has undertaken training and has a qualification that meets the criteria set by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE). This means that they must hold a valid certificate of competence in either:-

  • First Aid at Work (FAW) or
  • Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
Who Needs First Aiders?

Every workplace requires a First Aider. Depending on the size of the organisation a designated number of employees will be required to hold the full First Aid at Work qualification. Specific employment sectors in which First Aid is advantageous include childcare, education and the sport and leisure industry.

Monmouth Schools’ Sports Club can offer a variety of First Aid courses to suit your needs at very competitive prices. Any enquiries regarding First Aid training should be directed to Dan or Simon at the Sports Club via their emails or alternatively telephone 01600 714381
