A 15-year-old pupil at Monmouth School for Girls has gained selection into the Wales Netball National Academy.
Ella, from Year 11, can play at Wing Attack or Centre and will attend monthly national training sessions and benefit from consistent strength and conditioning sessions.
It is an exciting opportunity for Ella because Netball Wales’ Under-17 and Under-21 competition squads for major events, such as the World Youth Cup, are chosen from the national academy.
Ella has also been part of the Nova Academy at Monmouth School for Girls and secured her place in the Severn Stars Under-17s squad.
Mrs Sian Morgan, Head of Netball at Monmouth School for Girls, said: “Ella has shown dedication and commitment to her netball and thoroughly deserves her latest selection. This is another wonderful opportunity for Ella and we will be offering her support and advice throughout her exciting journey with the Wales Netball National Academy.”
