Dylan chats to The One Show presenter, Lindsey Russell, about his campaign to protect hedgehogs

A kind and caring schoolboy, who is Monmouth’s Hedgehog Champion, will be featured on a national television programme tomorrow evening (Friday 6th May).
Dylan, a Year 10 pupil at Monmouth School for Boys, has been filmed by The One Show.
The segment, involving Dylan, is to be aired on the popular BBC One programme starting at 7pm tomorrow.
Dylan was interviewed on camera by presenter Lindsey Russell, formerly of Blue Peter, and was joined by Grace Johnson, Hedgehog Officer at Hedgehog Street.
The 15-year-old schoolboy has been celebrating Hedgehog Awareness Week and is campaigning to reduce the number of gardening injuries to hedgehogs.
He is keen to raise awareness of hedgehogs and help protect them from the dangers they face.
This coming Saturday, Dylan is closing Hedgehog Awareness Week with his own live-streaming event.
In 2021, Dylan was filmed by ITV Wales News for a live feature as part of last year’s Hedgehog Awareness Week.
Dylan wants to educate and inform people on how they can help protect and nurture hedgehogs.
Earlier this year, Dylan was a finalist in a national awards ceremony at the House of Lords after his documentary, The Wonderful World of Hedgehogs, was shortlisted.
It was a special evening for Dylan and his family who had a memorable time at the Film the House awards in London.
