Following on from last week’s performances at The Grange, this week saw fifty Year 9 Drama students performing to visiting audiences from Monmouth School Boys’ Prep. Songs, extracts from War Horse, poetry, improvised scenes and audience participation were the order of the day as the young audience were held spell-bound by tales of young men heading off to the front and enduring the terrors of war.
Once again this Theatre in Education project proved equally valuable to audience and performers alike, one learning of the horrors of war, the other the skills involved in effective performance.
