Two impressive bowlers at Monmouth School for Boys snapped up five-wicket hauls in a high-scoring cricket match on Sunday (27th June) after lining up on opposing sides.

Ed, from Year 13, bagged 5-46 as Wales Under-18s restricted Gloucestershire Cricket Board Under-18s to 256-9 from 50 overs in Group 4 of the ECB County Competitions Cup.
Owen, from Year 11, then took 5-37 with his off-spin, as Gloucestershire bowled out Wales for 238 to register a thrilling 18-run victory.
Owen’s match-winning haul for Gloucestershire included the wicket of Callum, who top-scored for Wales with an excellent 129.
School 1st XI captain, Harry, skippered the Wales side and hit 29 runs opening the innings in excellent conditions Hawkesbury Cricket Club.
