Characters brought to life for Sport Relief challenge

March 26, 2018

Children from Monmouth School Boys’ Prep brought their favourite characters to life to raise more than £1,000 for Sport Relief.

Humphrey wore a Hulk costume, while Samuel dressed as a police officer and Tom was a moustachioed runner for a one-mile sponsored event last Friday (23rd March).

As the boys had missed out on World Book Day due to the snow, they dressed up for the challenge.

Organiser, Mrs Anne Taylor, a teacher at Monmouth School Boys’ Prep, said: “The boys were allowed to walk, run or get around the mile anyway they liked; some did a three-legged walk

“We also sold wrist bands and had a well-supported cake sale.

“I know we have already raised more than £1,000 for Sport Relief but there is still a lot of sponsor money to come in yet.”
