Busking, teddy ears and silence for Children in Need

November 15, 2019

Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools was a hive of activity today for Children in Need.

Cake sales, busking, a sponsored silence and other fun activities took place across the five schools to raise money for charity.

The colour and spirit of the day certainly caught the imagination of children at Monmouth School Girls’ Prep and Monmouth Schools Pre-Prep and Nursery.

Year 10 students at Monmouth School for Girls sold novelty teddy ears, while bake sales proved very popular at Monmouth School Boys’ Prep.

Miss Joanna Johnson, from Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools, said: “All proceeds have gone directly to the charity to help the lives of around half a million disadvantaged children and young people in the UK every single year.

“We are very grateful to the whole school community for supporting this worthwhile appeal.”
