Victory for Chile in Table Tennis World ChampionshipsJanuary 27th, 2017
Ping pong players from all corners of the globe came together to compete in The Grange Monmouth Preparatory School’s first Table Tennis World Championships.
Fiercely competitive, and yet very friendly, duos represented China, Wales, England and Chile at the inaugural sporting event last week.
Following closely contested matches, Chile emerged the champions thanks to Nicolas’ impressive paddle skills against Wales’ Ojas.
Winners in each round were the first to beat their opponent seven times.
The teams, consisting of Joe and Terry for China, Nicolas and Santiago for Chile, Ojas and Roahn for Wales, and Arthur and Toby for England, all did their countries proud.
