Transport

Boarders:

The school is happy to organise transport to and from airports and railway stations as required.

Day Pupils:

Daily school buses are managed jointly on a non-profit basis by Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools for the benefit of all pupils of both schools from Year 3.

The school buses transport up to 500 pupils to and from Monmouth from all the major surrounding towns up to 35 miles away including Cardiff, Newport, Abergavenny, Chepstow, Hereford, Ross, Coleford and Lydney.  We also operate a service over the old Severn Bridge from the Bristol side of the Channel.

If you have any questions, please email our Transport Manager on: buses@habsmonmouth.org.

If you wish your son/daughter to travel to school by bus on a regular basis please download and complete the Bus Request Form.

The school buses are also available to pupils wishing to make occasional journeys.  We generally require 48 hours notice of any need for occasional bus travel but in an emergency will always try to accommodate shorter notice.

In inclement weather the school endeavours to contact all parents via SMS text message to inform them whether the buses are running. Parents can also check the school’s website for up to date information or contact the school’s reception on 01600 711100.

In the event of a delay to the service, we recommend that parents initially try to contact the bus operator for up to date information.
