Teacher’s close shave raises £1,500 for NHS

May 29, 2020

A close shave for a popular teacher at Monmouth School Boys’ Prep has raised almost £1,500 for the National Health Service.

Mr Kieran Fradd agreed to have his hair and beard shaved off in support of the Aneurin Bevan University Local Health Board.

Mr Fradd wanted to thank for the NHS in the area for their tremendous efforts during the coronavirus pandemic.

“In a virtual assembly about the lockdown, I set a challenge to see whether we could raise enough money to get Mr Fradd to have his hair shaved off,” explained Headteacher at Monmouth School Boys’ Prep, Mr Neil Shaw.

“We had hoped to raise £100 for the Aneurin Bevan Health Charity.

“We are so proud and thankful to Mr Fradd and to everyone who has sponsored him.”

Mr Shaw added: “As a Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools community, we have raised nearly £1,500 for the NHS.

“We certainly didn’t think that Mr Fradd’s hair would prove so valuable.”
