The annual Grange Swimming Gala again drew huge crowds to the poolside. The Prep I and II event
was held in the morning; all boys in the year groups swam admirably and competed fiercely in their
races. The biggest cheer, raising the roof, was at the climax of the U9 Relay, leaving Raleigh in prime
position heading in to the Prep III and IV event. The heat of the afternoon paled in comparison to the
heat of competition, as race after race, the finishes became tighter and the scores remained neck and
neck. The team relays finally tipped the balance, paving the way for Raleigh to be crowned House
Swimming Champions 2016.
