Stem ChallengeOctober 9th, 2015
On Tuesday two intrepid teams of Grange scientists spent the day at HMSG for their annual STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Competition. The competition involved teams from seven schools across Monmouthshire and Herefordshire and the boys were put into mixed school teams. Their brief was to design a vehicle that, when shot across the HMSG school hall using compressed air, would travel the furthest whilst protecting an egg inside it. There were some innovative vehicles and dramatic scenes with the competition launches. The boys really enjoyed the day and developed an insight into how the scientific method may be applied to real life engineering problems.
