The Order of Ceremony for the Presentation of Colours to The Royal Welsh by Her Majesty The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, made it clear in the ‘Audience Action’ column what we were to do, e.g. ‘Please stand as the Regiment steps off and hats off and salute when the New Colours pass’.

Much of the time the boys were standing, cheering and waving flags through sheer excitement –  specially when the camera picked out rows of them on the big screen! It was great to be involved in a little bit of history in the making.
